D’ARRY’S CREATES MENU FOR ENGLAND AND ST GEORGE 15 April 2009 The very best of traditional English food will be on the menu at a special St George's Day event at d'Arry'sCookhouse and Wine Shop on 23 April.
Chef Rook Gouldie's usual menu of British food with a twist will, for one day only, come without the twist, but will be a showcase for locally sourced traditional English ingredients and recipes. These will include Spring Vegetable Pottage, Mutton casserole with creamy potatoes, Confit of roast chicken with bubble n' squeak cakes, Slow cooked spare ribs in a plum and rhubarb compote. All this will be served at the table for customers to help themselves and will be finished off with Warm almond and raspberry tart with clotted cream. The menu costs £18.95 per head.
