D’ARRY’S RISES FROM THE ASHES ON BONFIRE NIGHT 06/10/08 d'Arry's, the popular King Street restaurant devastated by fire in August, is to reopen on 5 November - with a celebratory hog roast.
The business will be even better than before, including a new £100,000 state-of-the-art kitchen. The reopening comes less than three months after a kitchen fire nearly devastated the whole building and much of the back of the restaurant had to be completely rebuilt. More than 40 fire fighters were required to tackle the blaze on the morning of 12 August.
Says Managing Partner Matt Dellar. "Since we opened less than two years ago d'Arry's has become an important part of the Cambridge restaurant scene, so we didn't want to let our customers down by being closed for months. We've worked hard to reopen quickly and we're delighted to plan to offer something even better than before."
Following a Bonfire Night hog roast open to all the restaurant will be open for normal business at lunch time on 6 November. The new menu will included a two-course lunch and pre-theatre special for just £9.95.
The restaurant will also be open on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve, with booking now being taken for both.
